      Since its inception in October 2000, over 150 integrated food safety grants have been awarded through the National Integrated Food Safety Initiative (NIFSI). The NIFSI is administered through USDA's Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service.

     This Web-based Accomplishment Reporting System provides grant recipients with a mechanism for reporting project accomplishments, current impacts, and unanticipated barriers to the research on an on-going basis throughout the reporting year. Updates can be posted to the Reporting System as often as necessary using a protected password assigned to Project Directors. Others may view the information, but they cannot revise or delete it. Project Directors are exempted from entering data on patentable results.

     All entered data is automatically saved in an interactive database that allows users to generate and print updated reports on currently funded NIFSI grants. Reports will highlight individual project accomplishments, as well as collective accomplishments of others addressing similar types of food safety issues. The reports can be customized and used in a variety of ways to support your food safety programs.
